Steel Flower will secure technology for cryogenic industrial equipment and start a fuel supply device business for LNG ships.

Steel Flower (CEO Kim Byung-kwon) and Jungwoo E&E (CEO Lee Sun-hae), which specialized in special rear-end facilities, announced on the 16th that they have signed an agreement to jointly develop Cryogenic special industrial equipment.

Cryogenic (hereinafter referred to as Cryogenic) industrial equipment is used in marine plants and industrial plants using ultra-low temperature refrigerants below minus 60°C. In particular, LNG plant equipment is capable of responding to ultra-low temperatures below minus 162°C.

Major executives and employees, including Kim Byung-kwon, Kim Kook-jin, CEO of Steelflower, Lee Sun-hae, and Park Joon-hyung, attended the signing ceremony, and discussed ways to share technology, support technology development costs, and commercialize natural gas fuel supplies for next-generation ships.

Until now, Steel Flower had signed an agreement with Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME) to transfer the patent technology of "High Pressure Natural Gas Fuel Supply System (HiVAR FGSS), a key technology for next-generation liquefied natural gas (LNG) fuel propulsion ships, and has worked hard to develop low-cost FGSS. In addition, Jungwoo E&E, which signed this technology agreement, recorded various orders of reference with large shipyards such as 'LNG compressor development', 'LNG transport diving centrifugal pump', 'Ultra-low temperature valve and control valve for LNG' and 'Vacuum heat pipe for ultra-low temperature liquid'.

In response, CEO Kim Byung-kwon of Steelflower said, "This technology cooperation between the two companies will develop expensive core parts that have been dependent on imports and drive the development and commercialization of low-priced high-pressure natural gas supplies."

Meanwhile, FGSS is the world's first high-pressure liquefied natural gas fuel supply device for container carriers independently developed by Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering, and is a key technology for natural gas fuel ships that are in the spotlight as next-generation ships.
